My family and I (husband, children, parents) have been going to Heidi since 1998.
She has successfully cared for all our eye needs and not only our vision (spectacles) but the overall health of our eyes. Just recently, her prompt and professional action saved my daughters eyesight when she was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer as a result of a virus. My son, who lives in the UK now, makes Heidi his first healthcare stop when he visits home as her service is unparalleled.
Heidi’s aim is to provide exceptional eyecare while remaining within the limits of medical aid “budgets” and constraints, and she will always endeavour to make sure that one is never out of pocket. Heidi is very cognisant of the high price of healthcare services and spectacles and will always be mindful of this when suggesting suitable frames , types of lenses, the coating that can be put on lenses to filter blue light etc. but she always manages to make you look and feel like a million dollars in your new eyewear. Heidi and her staff are consistently friendly, happy, helpful, easy to talk to and will go that extra mile to help every client. Many times over the years we have popped in for a quick repair of spectacles that have lost a screw, been sat on and need a tweek, the removal of ingrown eyelashes (a few times in one month) and Heidi and her staff fix the problem with a smile and at no charge. A very important aspect of Heidi’s practice is the time she gives to every patient. Appointments are booked in such a way that you never feel rushed and Heidi will take her time with you giving you her undivided attention for as long as is needed even to personally helping you with the selection of spectacle frames. A client/patient will never feel like you’re on a fast moving conveyor belt.
We have all come to look on Heidi as a friend and confidant and if the situation permits we will hold out on any eye issues until we can see her.
